The floor to fans all over the world. Over the years, they have proven us right, surprised us, and moved us: today marks the beginning of the race for the Golden Boy Web 2025, the award that for the past seven years, within the context of the European Golden Boy, has been given to the most beloved Under-21 talent playing for a European team, as voted by fans.

It’s the award of passion — a recognition that has brought moments in the spotlight to lesser-known names and united entire fan bases. All in the name of their idol.

It begins today and will be a long journey, lasting until late autumn, when the chosen name will be added to a prestigious roll of honor that last year welcomed Turkish Juventus talent Kenan Yildiz, loved (and voted for) by both his fellow countrymen and Juventus fans around the world. Before him, in 2023, it was Jude Bellingham: iconic is the photo of him on stage in Turin, holding both the Absolute Best award and the Golden Boy Web trophy. The only case — so far — in which both the international journalists’ jury and the popular vote reached the same conclusion.

Previous winners include Nicola Zalewski, Karim Adeyemi, Ansu Fati, Mattéo Guendouzi, and Justin Kluivert, the first winner in 2018.

The global resonance of this award is reflected in the number of votes collected: in 2023, they peaked at 2.2 million and haven’t dropped below 1.5 million in recent years, a testament to the strong engagement the Golden Boy Web has gained among fans — who are becoming increasingly involved and passionate in this adventure to discover, ahead of everyone else, the stars of tomorrow.

How does it work? Taking part is very simple: starting today at 10 a.m. on tuttosport.com, a poll will be available listing the 100 nominees for the award. With just one click, you can vote for your favorite player. Every thirty days (starting mid-July and continuing until mid-November), the poll will reset to zero, and the winner will be determined by the total number of votes collected across all the rounds.

A long journey, where anything can happen. A journey that, as history shows, can uncover unknown stories and stir entire fandoms (remember the 2023 “Taylor Swift case,” when her fans rallied behind Bellingham en masse to prevent a win by Alejandro Balde, who had dared to say he didn’t enjoy the music of the star with 520 million fans?).

Stories like these — of passion and love. Of fandom and the future. Golden Boy Web 2025 is ready to ignite hearts around the globe!
