The “women’s” eye of the European Golden Boy is also taking a good look at the best Under-21 profiles playing in a European team. Since its inception in 2022, our Golden Girl award has been given to Jule Brand, Linda Caicedo and Vicky Lopez respectively.
Well, excluding the latter, who is of Colombian origin, both the German born in 2002 and the Spanish born in 2006 were protagonists in the debut of their respective national teams at Euro 2025: Brand led Germany in the victory (2-0) against debutant Poland, opening the scoring with a wonderful left-footed shot from the edge of the box, Vicky signed the second of the five goals with which Spain overwhelmed Portugal. And on Friday she will be the Azzurri’s opponent.
Two players that the European Golden Boy told before everyone else and that, once the European Championship is over, will return to two of the most successful clubs in Europe: Brand, in fact, just in May signed with Lyon (the team that holds the record for Champions League victories, eight), while Vicky will join Barcelona where, since 2022, she has already won three championships, two Champions Leagues and three Super Cups.
